July 23 was Olympics Fun Day at Foster City Preschool. The children held their own opening ceremony, complete with a flag parade and a torch relay that culminated in the lighting of a child-safe ceremony fire. Events included a relay race and soccer game, with the winning teams awarded the preschool's Fun Olympics Medal of Honor. Foster City Preschool believes strongly in the importance of Whole Child Development, which includes physical development and sports. All the children enjoyed the event, as spectators and participants; it was a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about sports, teamwork and the international community.
